The clock was ticking, tick-tock,
My gun was loaded, glick-glock,
I stood bolt upright, with my gun to his face,
Blam! Now he's all over the place,
Pain not forgotten, what had I done,
Was it justice for killing my wife and son?
I wanted to sleep, but my ears were burning,
With echoes, of my gun and the murdering,
I had turned as evil as him,
Killing a man, how could I have been so dim?
I was better than that, better than this,
I wanted revenge, in a refrigerated dish,
But now I'm just a lowly-life-taker,
Putting him in a cell, would have been better,
It seems obvious now, but I was not who I was,
Killing a man, who could have been behind bars,
But now the only thing, I could see,
To redeem myself some dignity,
Was to go the the police station,
Turn myself in for my horrible situation,
The Police Officer said, "How may I assist you sir?"
I replied, I...I...commited...a murder,
He said, "Where, Why, How, Who?
I said, if you listen to me, I'll tell you,
The man on the second floor killed my son and wife,
And without hesitation, I took the guy's life,
I know what I did was stupid, yes I know,
And i put on an unnecessary show,
He told me, "I know how you feel, and that you are troubled."
Yes sir, the pain has doubled,
"Sorry for what you have done, you'll get some jail time,
But for what you have done, your wife and son will see a shine,
And will remember the man, they once new...and keep it in your heart...their everlasting love for you."
